Seoul – How to go to the N Seoul Tower

Option 1 – Via the cable car

There are a few ways to get to the Seoul Tower and because we are staying in Myeongdong we had opt for the cable car. Wherever you are in Myeongdong, make your way to the Prince Hotel or Line 4 subway exit 2 or 3. Using the picture below as a guide, walk towards the 7-11 shop which will be on your left. Keep walking straight which will be slightly uphill until you reach a “Y” split. Keep to the right and keep walking uphill. The incline becomes steeper as you make your way up to the cable car station.

Here’s what you will see along the way

Once you are at the cable car station, there will be some steps that you need to take to the ticket office.

The Cable car runs from 10AM to 11PM The ticket cost 8500won* for adult, 5500won for child return and 6000won for adult and 3500won for child single trip. The ride up is really quick (probably around 8mins is my guess) and saves you the hike up.

Amazing views from the cable car

Option 2 – Hike up and down to the tower

You can hike (it is uphill) up to the N Seoul tower if you have time and don’t mind the exercise. Because we didn’t hike up i can’t tell how long it will take since going up is always tougher but it took us about 40mins to walk down (we took our time).  this is the path we hike down so you can use the reverse way to hike up to the tower.

Option 3 – Via the public bus

All the buses below cost 1200won* (cash) and 1100won if you are using the T-money card. You can hop on the buses at any of its designated bus stops but the subway stations exit will be the easiest to identify. The  buses does take a while and it’s also traffic and passengers dependent. All buses terminate at the N Seoul Tower.
