About the hotel

The hotel is located within the walls in Nuremberg old town and the nearest subway station is Weißer Turm. This is actually an apartment style accommodation with a restaurant and bar, heated pool, onsite gym and sauna that you can use for free. There is also an onsite parking but has very limited spaces. The front desk will show you on a map where you could park for the same amount. It is about 5mins walking distance to the hotel. Since the restaurant and bar is a combined area and there is only one restaurant, it can be crowded during happy hours (from 5-7pm).

In the morning the restaurant/bar turned into the breakfast area. There was a sign in the lift advising the peak hours for breakfast.

About the room

We had a studio apartment which had everything we need. The room was very spacious with a king size bed, a sofa and a writing desk. Next to the bed was a spacious wardrobe with a laptop size safe.

The TV also has many channels including BCC, CNN, Blomberg and CNBC.

It came with a fully equipped kitchen with facilities including a Nespresso machine, full sized fridge, oven, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils. There is also a washing machine and dryer built into the kitchen cabinets.

The bathroom had a walk in shower and heated towel rails as well.

Our room looks out to the street area and it was quiet at night.

About the breakfast

The place where breakfast was served is called Alto Restaurant and Bar. I highly recommend you avoid the peak hours times as advised by the hotel. The first morning we were at the restaurant there were no tables and all the wait staff are scrambling around as it was so packed with guests. We even avoided the peak hour. We had to look for a table and get cutleries ourselves. There was a big spread of food options, ranging from the famous Nuremberg sausages, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fried potatoes, smoked salmon, cheese, salads, breads, pastries, yoghurt, coffee, tea, juices and fruits.

Because there were so many guests at breakfast and not enough wait staff, there are tables not cleared even though the guests had left. The food served was delicious and there were no shortage of food despite the crowd.

Why I pick this hotel

I picked this hotel mainly for the apartment facilities such as kitchen, washer and dryer. The hotel is also in a very good location so we can walked to most places. The room is also very big and the price was very reasonable as there was a special for the weekend.

Overall Impressions

We stayed at the Adina Apartment Hotel Nuremberg for 2 nights and this was the best hotel in our Germany trip. The front desk staff were very easy to deal with and very friendly. The breakfast crowd could be managed better with more staff onsite and the only downside was parking was very expensive (18Euro per day) and there were limited lots onsite. I would stayed here again if I were to return to Nuremberg.
